After a very decadent weekend in Paris the weekend of 26/26th March 2012 I came back knowing 'this is it' no more excuses. I've done Slimming World and Weight Watchers in the past, but I get bored of having to measure stuff out and calorie count. Plus - I really don't like all the overly ingratiating clapping at the weigh ins when you loose 1lb!
I knew no-one who had done the Dukan Diet previously, which almost made things easier. This way, I couldn't compare my weight loss journey with anyone else at work. I couldn't wait to start. I read up on the various websites and checked the Dukan website and felt motivated by people's results on the 'Attack' phase.
I completed the 'true weight' and was surprised to see that my 'chosen final weight' did not match my true weight. I was shy about another 8lbs. None the less, my eyes lit up when I saw the weight loss chart telling me I could be my true weight by 12th August 2012.
My first thoughts were 'OMG, I can be skinny for that family wedding on 25th August'!!
I returned back to work on Wednesday 28th March, printed off some essential information to get the diet started and started the very next morning. I half wanted to squeeze one more weekend of wine and lovely food but thought 'it's now or never'. So off to Tesco I went for my new supplies.
